Cabo Roig Marina

Cabo Roig area description

On the Costa Blanca, 10 km south of Torrevieja, lies Cabo Roig, with its wide pedestrian streets and beautiful beaches. Especially for golfers, the destination is great as three large golf courses can be found in close proximity. To the north of Cabo Roig, the neighboring village is La Zenia and in the south Campoamor. In the summer, Cabo Roig's beach is filled with both tourists and vacationers from other parts of Spain. In winter the area is quieter. Cabo Roig blue flag beaches are also safe for children. The beaches of Playa Cala Capitan and Playa Cala Caleta are clean and well maintained. Cabo Roig also has its own port or "marina" with more than 200 moorings and a cozy restaurant. From Cala Caleta, you can walk right by the sea, along the promenade, up to the beach of La Zenia, in the refreshingly gentle sea breeze. Cabo Roig has a great selection of restaurants and bars, so many spend their evenings in the residential area, but Torrevieja is also a short trip away, which by taxi costs about 20 euros. In addition to golfing and water sports there is Cabo Roig Tennis Club, Riding School in Campoamor and Water Parks, the nearest one in Torrevieja. Close to Cabo Roig there is also a go kart track. For nature lovers, the mountains and caves as well as the clear mountainous springs can be an attractive destination for excursions. Spa Thalassia is 15 minutes away and the fitness center Maxx Gym is a 6-minute drive away. The zoo Terra Natura can be found in Murcia within an hour's drive. Other excursion destinations could include Cartagena, Murcia, Alicante, La Manga and Mar Menor. Murcia has two bigger malls and Ikea, Torrevieja has a smaller mall called Habaneras and La Zenia has the latest one, Zenia Boulevard shopping mall. An interesting shopping spot is also the Playa Flamenca's Saturday Market, where you can find almost everything from fresh products to souvenirs, clothes and home decoration.
